Superb calculator app. In a league of its own in terms of functionality and application. Whats with the weird question mark icon though? Wouldnt an icon that looked like a calculator be just fine?
This calculator is excellent and perfect for when you are putting together longer calculations. The icon however is horrendous.
Nice take on the calculator app. Not necessary for all calculations, but superb format for many calculations.
The calculator on a smartphone shouldnt be a copy of a real-world calculator. Soulver is what a modern calculator should be. The OS X version is great too!
Soulver has become one of my most precious tools. This calculator is easy and intuitive to use. We can use words to express calculations, add comments and labels. These features are very practical when there are multiple steps. It’s not just numbers and mathematical symbols, My favourite feature is that I can save to iCloud. I can make a draft on my iPhone and retrieve it on my iPad. I also have the OS X version. I work in finance and I often repeat the same type of calculations so I just retrieve my draft. For personal use, I frequently use a draft to calculate sales taxes or for a quick budget. I love this application!
Wanted the edge of a centre of two objects, 7.5" and 28.25". Divide both by two, tap on the answer of line 2 minus line 1, tap and hold the new answer of 10.375 and select format > display type fraction: 10 3/8". Took me 15 seconds and a co-worker 5 minutes. He didnt believe I got the answer so quick so he did it later himself, taking 20 times as long. Buy this.
No need to say anymore
iPhone version does not open files created with Soulver for Macbook. iPhone version and MacBook version are not compatibles.
Its great, very handy with smart calculations.
Great app with super easy interface. The only thing I do miss is an iCloud sync
ни к черту: "едницы", "вклучить" и т. д. :) ridiculous russification доп. кнопки вылезают за пределы экрана additional buttons work incorrect - they go off the screen
This app is the best calculator. Ive been using it for years. Would be great if it was possible to use it as default from control center. Would be nice too if they changed for the previous icon. This one is ugly and look like anything but an calculator.
Great app for calculations. Highly recommended. Previous versions had a broken split view implementation. I wish they had fixed it, but instead they removed it, hence the 3/5 stars. Itll be 5/5 once they add a working split view!
Awesome calculator app but the icon is AWFUL. Please make it something simple/calculator-like to match the native iOS look!
Love it! Use it on iOS and OS X daily.
My favorite use for this app is keeping track of scores when we play card games
Why would you remove one of the main features that made this calculator so useful. The split screen was one of the best features of this app and poof, its gone. I sent an email to ask for explanation but got none. Too bad, I was enjoying the app.
As far as doing what it is intended to do, Soulver is a steady 5 stars. As far as what it means to me, I cant live without it. A two column spreadsheet is very useful, and I find other spreadsheets very, very poor tools for building a very basic object, namely an array of info, I.e. a table. A spreadsheet is basically a db hack, after all. Heres what bugs me -- the ui has not changed since the app appeared on the iPad. The keyboard is limited- why not a way to select alpha as a default? Why not better optional keys? Moving the "cursor" (touch target) via buttons would be nice. Cut and paste is primitive, awkward and unreliable in this app in particular. This probably doesnt bother the many users who like using it as a calculator, but the app is so much more than that! Understand, there is no app like Soulver -- Ive looked! Still, it could use a few features -- Ive not found a way to use Workflow with it, for instance. It would great to build a row in, say, "Drafts" or similar apps and send it to Soulver to update a table. It would be great to export Soulver to a text file that preserved the table format. Split screen functionality would be nice. Another nice feature would be a way to "export" the data to a more formal spreadsheet. I could see combining five solver tables into input for a 5 or ten row spreadsheet. People drone on about productivity tools -- well Soulver is a great one. In a way its like Text Expander -- hard to explain how good it is, and what it does seems mundane. The trouble for the developer is they can only sell it once. Hopefully changes in the App Store will help the folks at Soulver get paid to make a great app even easier. Hey what about a way to add another pair of columns? Just sayin ........:) :) Steve O
One of my favorite apps! Once you have it, youll wonder how you got along without it!
